Simon is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Managing Partner of SimonBaker&Partners. Simon brings over 20 years of investment management experience and risk management oversight.
In 2004 Simon founded BakerAvenue Asset Management, a boutique investment management firm. BakerAvenue practices a prudent and pragmatic investment philosophy and has over $1 billion in assets. Simon is chairman of the investment & risk management committee.
Prior to founding BakerAvenue in 2004, Simon was a Managing Director at Bank of America Securities, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (DLJ) and Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB). He was a cast member on the CNBC Half Time show ‘Fast Money’, appeared on Yahoo ‘Breakout’ and is often quoted in the Wall Street Journal and other financial publications.
Simon is an active member of the Manhattan chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). Simon is sponsor/lecturer of Baker-Simpson Entrepreneurial Leadership Program at Hartwick College. Simon graduated cum laude with a B.A. in economics & French from Hartwick College, NY.
John is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Managing Partner of SimonBaker&Partners bringing over 20 years of experience providing advice in the areas of wealth and investment management, investment banking, estate & tax planning, and private investments.
Prior to joining SimonBaker&Partners, John was a senior executive at GenSpring Family Offices, a $20+ billion multi-family office. Prior to GenSpring, John was an investment banker with Deutsche Bank where he helped originate and execute over 25 merger advisory, debt and equity capital raises, and public offerings worth in excess of $12 billion. Earlier in his career, John was a practicing tax, trusts and estates attorney and a senior tax advisor at Deloitte & Touche.
John received a B.S. from Cornell University’s Dyson School, an M.B.A. from Union College Graduate School of Management, and his J.D. from Albany Law School. John is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) and was admitted to practice law in NY and CT.
John serves on the boards and advisory councils of various organizations at Cornell. John is also a Senior Wealth Advisor to the Baker-Simpson Entrepreneurial Leadership Program at Hartwick College and a Board member of the Wounded Warriors of South Florida charitable organization.
Tate is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Managing Partner for SimonBaker&Partners. Tate has over 18 years of financial services experience with a focus on financial planning, wealth and investment management, insurance, and credit and banking solutions.
Prior to SimonBaker&Partners, Tate spent almost 7 years as a Vice President and Wealth Advisor with the Wells Fargo Private Bank where he served as the primary point of contact for affluent and high net worth clients. Prior to Wells, Tate served high net worth clients with SunTrust and BB&T.
Tate is a Certified Financial Planner and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in both Management and Marketing from Barton College. Tate also graduated with a M.B.A. and a Masters in Trust and Investment Management from Campbell University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Collier County United Way and is the chair of the investment committee. Tate also serves as a Golf Committee Member for The Lucas Cup, supporting JDRF and serves as the treasurer for the Park Shore Association in Naples, Florida.
